You’ve Been Accepted — What’s Next?
Congratulations on being selected for MomoCon 2027 Artist Alley!

Additional information is sent out in stages as we finalize Artist Alley operations.

If your application is accepted, you will receive an acceptance notification with information about your status and what to expect next.
Your acceptance notification will also let you know that your invoice and payment information will be sent separately at a later date.
An Accepted status does not necessarily mean that your invoice, booth assignment, credentials, load-in information, or other event details are available yet.
Please do not assume that missing information means something is wrong with your acceptance.
After acceptance notifications are sent, MomoCon will send your Artist Alley invoice and payment instructions.
Your invoice will include:
- Your booth type and associated fee
- Your payment deadline
- Available payment methods
- Instructions for completing payment
Do not assume that your invoice will be sent at the same time as your acceptance notification.
There may be a delay between receiving your acceptance notice and receiving your invoice.
Important: ACH Payments
ACH payments can take multiple business days to process and clear.
If you choose to pay by ACH, do not wait until the payment deadline to initiate your payment.
Starting an ACH payment on the deadline date does not necessarily mean that your payment will be received or cleared by the deadline.
Failure to complete payment by the required deadline may result in the loss of your Artist Alley space.
After your invoice has been completed and your payment has been processed and paid in full, your booth assignment will be provided.
Your booth assignment will include your assigned:
- Booth type
- Booth number
- Location
Do not assume that your booth number or location is available when you first receive your acceptance notification.
Booth Assignments Cannot Be Swapped
Once booth assignments are made, artists may not:
- Sell their booth
- Transfer their booth
- Exchange their booth
- Swap their booth
- Give their booth to another artist
without prior written approval from the MomoCon Artist Alley department.
Informal agreements between artists do not change the official booth assignment.
Unauthorized booth occupancy is grounds for removal from the convention and/or forfeiture of the booth.
If you can no longer attend, contact the Artist Alley department. Do not give your booth to another artist.
Additional information will be provided to accepted artists as the convention approaches.
This may include:
- Artist credentials and badges
- Load-in and load-out instructions
- Venue information
- Parking and shipping information
- Booth setup information
- Convention operating procedures
- Deadlines and required forms
- Other Artist Alley procedures
Please monitor the email address associated with your Artist Alley application.
As MomoCon approaches, the Artist Alley department will provide final instructions and reminders.
Always follow the most recent MomoCon Artist Alley communication if a later instruction changes or clarifies an earlier one.
Booth Information
As mentioned in Artist Alley Booth Types, Each booth option comes with:
-
One 6-foot table — 6 feet long × 2 feet wide × 30 inches tall
-
2 chairs
-
2 memberships/badges

Each booth includes 2 memberships/badges.
If you need additional badges for assistants, additional badges may be purchased at the Exhibit Support booth during Artist Alley check-in.
Additional badges may also be obtained from artists who do not need their second badge.
Please remember that badges associated with your booth remain your responsibility.
You are accountable for the behavior of people using badges associated with your booth.
You may manage your own included badges, but they are associated with your booth.
Please only provide these badges to people who are assisting you with your booth and/or someone you trust.
Do not sell these included badges to other individuals.
If badges are being sublet or sold, you may be removed from Artist Alley
The Exhibit Support booth within the vendor hall will have the ability to receive payment and issue additional exhibitor badges.
Additional badges are linked to your booth, and you remain accountable for their behavior.
Artists may share their table with other artists who have been accepted to Artist Alley, provided both artists have been accepted into the Alley.
If the other artist was independently accepted but you plan on sharing a table, please let the Artist Alley department know via email.
Only one artist will be the primary contact for the table and accept all legal responsibility for the space.
Artists may not share table space with artists who were rejected or waitlisted.
Sharing a booth with a rejected or waitlisted artist cannot be used to avoid or circumvent the jury process.

Venue Information
MomoCon 2027 will be held at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Atlanta.
MomoCon will use Halls B and C, with the Artist Alley area located within the Hall B exhibition floor.
Additional information about parking, shipping, venue services, and other GWCC procedures will be provided to accepted artists as the event approaches.

Artists are responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable Georgia sales and use tax requirements.
MomoCon cannot provide individual tax advice.
Requirements may vary depending on your business structure, residency, sales activity, and other circumstances.
Artists selling taxable tangible personal property at MomoCon should review the current Georgia Department of Revenue requirements.
The Georgia Department of Revenue provides specific guidance for miscellaneous sales events and states that Georgia sales tax should be collected at the rate applicable to the jurisdiction where the event is held.

Note*
MomoCon provides these links as a convenience. Georgia sales tax requirements are administered by the Georgia Department of Revenue, and artists are responsible for determining and meeting their own tax obligations.
This depends on your circumstances.
Georgia uses the terminology sales and use tax registration and certificate of registration. Artists may commonly refer to this as a “seller’s permit.”
The Georgia Department of Revenue has specific guidance for out-of-state sellers participating in conventions and trade shows.
According to the Georgia DOR, sales and use tax registration is not required for certain out-of-state sellers whose convention/trade-show activity is their sole physical presence in Georgia, provided the applicable conditions are met, including limits on the number of days of convention/trade-show activity and prior-year net income from those activities.
However, the Georgia DOR separately states that out-of-state sellers must collect tax on sales of tangible personal property made at a Georgia convention or trade show, including certain sales resulting from orders taken at the event.
Not needing to register is not the same as not needing to collect sales tax.
For the most current information, review the Georgia Department of Revenue’s current guidance.
If you are unsure how the rules apply to your business, consult the Georgia Department of Revenue or a qualified tax professional.

Wednesday Load-In Ends at 10:00 PM
All Artist Alley artists must be completely out of the exhibit hall by 10:00 PM Wednesday.
10:00 PM is not the time to stop setting up.
It means you must have finished what you are doing, packed up anything necessary, and completely exited the exhibit hall.
You Do Not Need to Finish Your Entire Booth Wednesday
You do not need to finish your entire booth setup Wednesday night.
If you are not finished by 10:00 PM, pack up what you need to pack up, leave the exhibit hall, and return Thursday morning during the designated Artist Alley setup period.
Do not stay past 10:00 PM because you are trying to finish your booth. Thursday morning is the time to continue setup.

If You Can No Longer Attend
Contact the MomoCon Artist Alley department as soon as possible.
Do not give your booth to another artist.
Do not arrange an unofficial replacement or attempt to transfer, sell, sublet, or swap your booth.
Booth assignments remain assigned to the accepted artist unless MomoCon provides prior written approval for another arrangement.
No Proxying and Representatives
Artists who apply and are accepted into MomoCon Artist Alley are expected to be present at the convention while tabling.
Sending a proxy to sell or manage your table on your behalf while you attend other events will result in removal from Artist Alley.
This requirement exists because accepted artists have committed to being present at the convention and other artists have made travel and housing arrangements based on that commitment.
Studio or Partnership Representatives
If an artist is unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances and is part of a joint partnership or studio, they may request to have another representative from that studio or partnership table the booth.
These situations are handled by the MomoCon Artist Alley team and approved on a case-by-case basis.
Contact the Artist Alley team before sending another person to operate your booth.
Failure to notify the Artist Alley team before sending someone to attend the convention in the artist’s stead is considered unapproved and may result in table cancellation and removal from Artist Alley.
Booths may not be sold, transferred, exchanged, sublet, or swapped without prior written approval from the MomoCon Artist Alley department.
MomoCon does not allow subletting of Artist Alley booths. If subletting is identified, the recipient artist will be removed from the convention space and both the original artist and recipient artist may be banned from participating in future MomoCon Artist Alley events. The artist at the table should be the artist who applied. Proxies are not permitted unless specifically approved by the Artist Alley department.
No.
Booth assignments may not be exchanged, sold, transferred, or swapped without prior written approval from the MomoCon Artist Alley department.
Unauthorized booth occupancy is grounds for removal from the convention and/or forfeiture of the booth.
MomoCon does not allow onsite purchasing of Artist Alley booths. If there are open tables once the convention begins, the Artist Alley department may be in the process of reaching out to last-minute waitlist artists to fill them. Because of this, artists should not arrive at the convention expecting to purchase an available Artist Alley booth onsite.
Invoices are sent after acceptance notifications and may not arrive at the same time as your acceptance notice.
Monitor the email associated with your application for payment instructions.
If ACH is available, begin the transaction several business days before the payment deadline.
ACH payments may take multiple business days to clear.
Do not wait until the deadline to initiate an ACH payment.
Failure to complete payment by the required deadline may result in the loss of your Artist Alley space.
Booth assignments are provided after your invoice/payment process has been completed and your payment has been received and paid in full.
Your acceptance notification does not necessarily include your booth number or location.
Artists are only allowed to purchase a single booth or table.
Yes, but only with artists who have also been accepted into Artist Alley.
If another artist was independently accepted and you plan to share a table, notify the Artist Alley department.
Artists may not use booth sharing to provide space to rejected or waitlisted artists.
The two badges included with your booth are associated with your booth and remain your responsibility.
Please only provide them to people assisting you with your booth or someone you trust.
Do not sell or sublet your included badges.
The Exhibit Support booth within the vendor hall will have the ability to receive payment and issue additional exhibitor badges.
No.
Booth assignments may not be exchanged, sold, transferred, or swapped without prior written approval.
Artist Alley will be located in Hall B of the Georgia World Congress Center.
For Wednesday load-in:
Earliest Artist Alley access: 4:00 PM
Do not arrive expecting Artist Alley access before the announced load-in time.
You must be completely out of the exhibit hall by 10:00 PM.
If your booth is not finished, leave the hall and continue setup Thursday morning.
Do not stay past 10:00 PM to finish your booth.
Artists who remain in the exhibit hall after 10:00 PM will forfeit their booth and will not be permitted to participate in future MomoCon Artist Alley events.
That is okay.
Thursday morning is available for continuing your setup.
The important requirement is that you leave the exhibit hall by 10:00 PM Wednesday.
Artists are responsible for determining and complying with applicable Georgia sales and use tax requirements.
