Winterfest Protocols

Information on this page is tentative and may be changed due to updated information from the CDC, governmental regulations, and the latest science. Should current membership holders for Winterfest by MomoCon wish to request a refund, please Contact Us on or before Nov 9th.

Please note, these guidelines apply to Winterfest by MomoCon, held Dec 18-19, 2021 at the Georgia World Congress Center. Guidelines for MomoCon 2022 (May 26-29, 2022) will be forthcoming and may look different. Health and Safety Acknowledgement


Masks are Required

Masks are required in all indoor areas for Winterfest by MomoCon for all participants.

Vaccine or Proof of Negative Test Required

Participants may voluntarily provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination. If this is not provided, proof of a negative Covid-19 test within 72 hours of badge pickup with a name matching the individual’s photo ID and registration will be required.

We are happy to partner with Global 7 Diagnostics for the event, who will be providing free rapid tests (if vaccine card verification is not provided by the attendee). This testing is free to those with or without insurance.

Mask Guidelines

Detailed information about CDC mask guidelines

All participants over the age of 3 will be required to wear masks in Winterfest by MomoCon spaces.

Do choose masks that:

  • Have two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric
  • Completely cover your nose and mouth
  • Fit snugly against the sides of your face and don’t have gaps
  • Have a nose wire to prevent air from leaking out of the top of the mask (if possible)

Masks that are NOT permitted:

  • Masks that contain valves/vents for exhalation
  • Masks that are made of mesh, tulle, etc.
  • Costume masks that have vents/hoods/do not meet the above standards. Please wear a secondary mask with any costume mask that does not meet mask guidelines.
  • Face shields alone are not permitted

Plan on bringing your own mask, but if not available, disposable masks can be obtained at Registration or Information desks. MomoCon branded masks will be available for sale at merchandise locations at the event.

Removal of masks while stationary and eating or drinking in designated areas (or off to the side while stationary) is permitted.

Test or Vaccination Guidelines

Vaccination cards, photos/photocopies of cards, or approved verification apps such as Clear, Excelsior Pass, or Common Pass are acceptable as proof of vaccination. A fully vaccinated individual is one who is 2 weeks or more past the date of their final dosage (2nd dose for Pfizer or Moderna, 1st for Johnson & Johnson). Proof of booster is not necessary.

J&J – shot by 12/3

Negative covid tests must match registration and photo IDs in the name field. Names are not printed on badges and no information is collected or retained regarding tests or vaccine cards aside from verification. Parents of minors may pick up minors’ badges with their own if purchased together and providing the minor’s negative covid test.

Additional Details and Protocols

  • Winterfest by MomoCon will be a less dense event by design, with a lower attendance and larger space to attendee ratio.
  • Winterfest on-site registration will be cashless for less person-to-person contact. Please plan accordingly, or purchase via mobile when on site.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the venue
  • The vendor area has extra spacing for more distance. We understand the nature of events, however do your best to minimize risk with distancing.
  • Keep in mind that different people have different comfort levels of human contact/distance. Be respectful of requests to back away or leave more distance between yourself and others.
  • Convention special guests have different comfort levels in interactions with fans, and may change during the weekend, so please be aware that autograph restrictions of contact/closeness may change.
  • Microphones will be wiped down between events.
  • Eating and drinking may be restricted to specific areas.
