Chris Wilkes, better known as STLNDRMS (“Stolen Drums”), is an Atlanta-based producer, DJ, and curator whose sound lives at the intersection of dusty drums, rare groove, and heavy beats. He is the co-founder of Controllerise, an internationally recognized event and creative community that brings together anime, beats, producers, djs and creatives in ATL. STLNDRMS has contributed to music from artists such as Madlib, Raekwon, Rapsody, Erykah Badu, EarthGang, Ari Lennox, Mick Jenkins, Corinne Bailey Rae, Fatlip, Blu, Bobbi Humphrey, Meshell Ndegeocello, MadeinTYO, Iman Omari, and more. Blending his signature drum programming, gritty textures, and deep musicality into records that resonate with hip-hop fans worldwide. His work spans major-label releases, underground classics, and independent projects that have helped define the sound of modern boom-bap. Beyond the studio, STLNDRMS is known for creating immersive live experiences from his High Bias Listening Sessions to Controllerise’s iconic beat showcases and for delivering dynamic DJ sets that move seamlessly from head-nod soul to high-energy rap.
