Artist
Sarah is a freelance comic artist, writer, cover artist, colorist, and art educator from Maryland. Their upcoming graphic memoir “Monstrous: A Transracial Adoption Story”* comes out June 27, 2023 from First Second Books. Credits include “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures” #1-4 (Colorist & Variant Cover Artist), “TMNT / Usagi Yojimbo : WhereWhen” series (Variant Cover Artist), “MAKER COMICS: Create a Costume!”, “Asian American Exclusion” in the “Votes for Women Comic Anthology”** (Writer, Artist), and “Hello Kitty & Friends Coloring Book” from VIZ Media (Illustrator). They also taught as an adjunct professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design for 3 years. When they’re not drawing comics, they love to cosplay, lift weights, and cook.
