Katie Downey, aka GoblinKatie, is terrible at writing bios. No really, she never knows what to say and just rambles about how she loves to LARP, play TTRPGs, and collect dice.
She should probably mention that she’s been involved in multiple TTRPG streams with publishers like Kobold Press, Play on Words Studios, Gem and Eye RPG Studios, and Infinite Black. She appeared on “D4” (a five year campaign that was partnered with Wizards of the Coast), as well as “The Velvet Lodge” miniseries, both produced by Elder Eye Productions. One would think she’d also mention getting to guest on episodes of “Mage: As Above, So Below”, “Rivals of Waterdeep”, and “Distinguished Adventurers”.
She’d certainly want to talk about recent streaming projects like “Players And Book” and “Shadow City Mysteries: House of Skye”.
Her voice has been heard by listeners of “Stellar Arcanum”, “Loot & Dagger”, “Sidekicks & Sidequests”, “Dragon Talk”, and “The Good, The Bad, & The Nerdy”. That would also be good to mention.
She played a variety of LARPs in the Southeast and Midwest during her 27 years of running around in the woods hitting her friends with plumbing supplies. Somehow she even wound up on the team responsible for creating two games “Myth” and “Kings Gate”, running plot for both, and served on National Plot for N.E.R.O. No satisfied with out of game achievements, her PC at N.E.R.O. was one of the two highest ranking character in the game at the time she retired the character.
If you were face to face with her, she would tell you all about her dice collection. “I stopped counting at 1,000 sets. I can’t even begin to guess how many loosies (dice that aren’t part of a set) I have at this point.” You would be trying to escape long before she stopped talking about them.
But no. No, she’s going to forget to do all that because when she sits down to write her bio she’s probably going to see a squirrel or notice an unsorted set of dice and get completely distracted instead.
