Artist
D.J. Kirkland is a comic book artist and writer who’s originally from Charlotte, NC. He went to college in Savannah and Atlanta, GA, and is now based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His work can be best described as a hybrid of 90’s anime and the Saturday morning cartoons we know and love from that era. He’s the co-creator and artist of the graphic novel titled The Black Mage which debuted in 2019. Since then, he has gone on to work on comic book series such as Aggretsuko, Dream Daddy and Teen Titans Go! He was also the recipient of a 2023 GLAAD Media award for “Outstanding Original Graphic Novel/Anthology” for his contributions to the Young Men In Love anthology. Currently, he is working on his upcoming romance graphic novel titled The “Fine Line” due out in 2026.
