Welcome to MomoCon Artist Alley!
Artist Alley is one of the largest growing exhibit areas of MomoCon, bringing together hundreds of independent artists, creators, crafters, comic creators, and makers from across the country. The Artist Alley is a place for artists to sell their original, unique, and handmade wares at MomoCon. If you are selling licensed or mass produced goods (other than your own produced comic books), please consider selling in Vendors instead as it will be a better fit for your shop.
Applications for the 2027 Artists Alley will be open from Nov 3-17, 2026. Applications are ONLY be taken in this time period and not before or after.
In order to better prevent proxies, art theft, and AI art from entering the Artist Alley, we will be continuing our application requirements for the 2D art category. 2D artists will be required to provide some type of process content, whether this is line art, Procreate videos, links to recorded streams, or social media reels; we need to know that your art is your own. Our application window will be in November to provide ample time for our jurors. Our Artist Alley application window is Nov 3, 2026 – Nov 17, 2026 for the 2027 event.
Applications for Artist Alley are competitive, and submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Please read all of the information on this page before applying. The information below explains the application and jury process, booth options, permitted products, portfolio requirements, and important policies you should understand before submitting your application.

The MomoCon Artists Alley is very competitive, with an approximate 10% acceptance rate based on applications. Please be aware and prepared. It is not advised for those with a limited amount of product or tabling at a con for the first time.

Before You Apply
MomoCon is an all-ages convention.
18+/NSFW content is not permitted to be sold, displayed, or distributed in the MomoCon exhibit hall, including Artist Alley.
This applies to all forms of 18+/NSFW merchandise and content, regardless of whether it is labeled, packaged, covered, or otherwise separated from other products.
If your work includes both all-ages and 18+/NSFW material, the 18+/NSFW material may not be brought into or sold in Artist Alley.
Do not apply with the expectation that NSFW products can be displayed or sold if accepted.
Artist Alley and MomoCon volunteers may require prohibited material to be removed, and violations may result in removal of the artist from the convention.
There are no exceptions to this policy for Artist Alley.
Artist Alley is a juried application process. Applying does not guarantee a booth.
Before applying, make sure:
- Your application is complete and contains the required portfolio and product information.
- You are prepared to sell the types of products represented in your application.
- Your portfolio clearly demonstrates the work you intend to sell at MomoCon.
- Your products comply with the Artist Alley rules and applicable convention policies.
- You understand that accepted artists must meet all payment deadlines.
- You understand that artists are responsible for applicable Georgia sales and use tax requirements.
- You understand that booth assignments cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged, or swapped without prior written approval from the MomoCon Artist Alley department.
- You are able to follow the required MomoCon and GWCC load-in, operating, and load-out procedures.

Cost (2027): $450 + Eventeny fees
The standard Artist Alley booth is the primary booth option for individual artists and creators. It is intended for artists who need a dedicated space to display and sell their work throughout the convention.
Includes:
- One 6-foot table — 6 feet long × 2 feet wide × 30 inches tall
- 2 chairs
- 2 memberships/badges
Cost (2027): $750 + Eventeny fees
MomoCon also offers 10′ × 10′ booth spaces for artists who need a larger footprint for their merchandise, displays, or setup.
A 10′ × 10′ space provides additional floor space compared with a standard booth and may be appropriate for artists with larger displays or a substantial amount of merchandise.

Selecting or requesting a particular booth type does not guarantee that you will receive that booth type or a particular location.
Booth availability is limited, and final assignments are made by the MomoCon Artist Alley department based on available space and Artist Alley operations.
Your booth assignment will be provided separately from your initial acceptance notification.
Do not assume that being accepted means your booth number or location has already been assigned.
Booth assignments may not be transferred, sold, exchanged, or swapped without prior written approval from the MomoCon Artist Alley department.
Additional information about booth dimensions, furnishings, pricing, and specific booth options will be provided in the 2027 Artist Alley application and/or Artist Alley materials.
Additional badges may be purchased at the Exhibit Support booth during Artist Alley check-in.
Additional badges may also be obtained from artists who do not need their second badge.
What Can I Sell in Artist Alley?
Artist Alley is intended for original creative work and products created, designed, or produced by the participating artist or creator.
The following are the primary product categories used when reviewing Artist Alley applications.

Applicants applying under the Comics category should expect comics and related original comic products to represent the majority of their table. At least 80% of the table should consist of qualifying comic-related products. |

Your selected category is part of the jury review process. MomoCon reserves the right to assign an application to the product category that best fits the artist’s proposed merchandise, regardless of the category selected on the application.
The jury will review your application, portfolio, and proposed products and determine the best-fit category for your application.
If your products fit multiple categories, the MomoCon Artist Alley department will determine the category that most appropriately represents your overall merchandise mix.
Artist Alley is intended for original creative work and approved merchandise.
Products that are prohibited or otherwise outside the scope of Artist Alley may result in an application being rejected or products being removed from a booth.
Examples of issues that may prevent acceptance include:

Food and beverages, including teas, dried foods, and other consumable products

Official/licensed merchandise that you are not authorized to sell

All foodstuffs are prohibited in Artist Alley, including handmade foodstuffs, dried foods, teas, and other consumable products.
The Georgia World Congress Center has strict food rules. MomoCon Artist Alley does not permit artists to sell food products in the Alley.
At this time, MomoCon does not permit AI-created art in Artist Alley or for sale when it utilizes art samples not created by the applicant.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that submitted work is their own.
MomoCon reserves the right to remove products or artists that violate Artist Alley rules.
The jury considers:
- Is the application complete?
- Does the applicant meet Artist Alley requirements?
- Are the submitted portfolio links accessible?
- Are the proposed products appropriate for Artist Alley?
We consider both the variety of products offered by each artist and the overall mix of product categories represented throughout Artist Alley.
For individual applications, we look for artists who offer a range of products that complements their primary work. An artist who sells multiple types of products may provide a more complete booth experience than an application centered on a single product type.
At the same time, we consider the overall composition of Artist Alley to ensure that the area represents a diverse range of artists, products, and creative disciplines rather than being dominated by any single product category.
Product variety does not mean that every artist must sell products in multiple categories.
Artists should apply under the category that best represents their work and accurately describe the products they intend to sell.
Jurors review the presentation of the submitted portfolio and product examples.
Applicants should provide enough examples for the jury to understand:
- What they create
- What they intend to sell
- The quality and style of their work
- The range of products they expect to bring
Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate that the work submitted is their own.
For 2-D artwork applicants, process documentation may be requested or required.
Examples may include:
- Line art
- Work-in-progress images
- Procreate recordings
- Livestream recordings
- Social-media reels demonstrating the creation process
We receive particularly high volumes of applications in certain categories, including Traditional 2-D Artwork, Trinkets, and Apparel.
Because available space is limited, acceptance decisions may be affected by the overall distribution of products represented in Artist Alley.
How Competitive Is Artist Alley?
Artist Alley receives a large number of applications every year.
As historical context:
- Approximately 2,000 applications are submitted each year on average.
- Approximately 370 Artist Alley booths are available on average.
- Approximately 1,200 applicants may be waitlisted across all categories on average.
- Approximately 55% of applicants are new artists and 45% are returning artists on average.
- Approximately 19% of applicants historically come from the Southeastern United States.
The largest volumes of applications generally fall into the Traditional 2-D Artwork, Trinkets, and Apparel categories.
These figures are historical and may change from year to year. They should not be interpreted as a guaranteed acceptance rate or a guarantee of booth availability.
New Artists & Returning Artists
We welcome both new and returning artists.
Returning to MomoCon does not eliminate the need to submit a complete application or portfolio. All applicants must follow the current year’s application requirements.
Likewise, being a new applicant does not prevent you from being considered.
Each year’s application pool and available booth mix can vary.
Before submitting your application, make sure the jury can access and review your portfolio without needing to request permission, create an account, log in, or subscribe to a service.
Jurors need to be able to view your submitted work directly.
If a portfolio link requires a login, account, access request, password, or other barrier that prevents the jury from immediately viewing your work, your application may be rejected because the jury is unable to review the work submitted for consideration.
- Make sure all portfolio links are publicly accessible.
- Test your links in a private/incognito browser window before submitting your application.
- Show the actual products you intend to sell at MomoCon.
- Include enough examples for jurors to understand your work, style, and proposed merchandise.
- Keep your portfolio current.
- Make sure your portfolio represents the work you intend to bring to the convention.
- Clearly demonstrate which work is original work created by you.
- If you create 2-D artwork, provide required process documentation when requested.
- Make sure your selected product category accurately reflects the products you intend to sell.
- Remember that category selection is subject to jury review and may be changed to the category that best fits your application.
- If using social media as part of your portfolio, make sure your work is easy to find and view.
- Do not rely exclusively on social-media pages where jurors may have difficulty locating or accessing your work.
- Read the complete Artist Alley rules before applying.
Jurors can only evaluate the information they can access.
If we cannot view your work, we cannot evaluate it.
Please test every portfolio link before submitting your application.
Applications with inaccessible, restricted, or otherwise unreviewable portfolios may be rejected because the jury cannot adequately evaluate the submitted work.
An application may be removed from consideration before or during jury review if it does not meet the requirements of the Artist Alley application or if the jury is unable to adequately evaluate the application.

An application can be complete, eligible, and meet all of the Artist Alley requirements and still not be selected for a booth.
Artist Alley has limited space and receives substantially more applications than available booths.
The jury considers applications based on the published jury criteria, including the submitted portfolio, proposed products, product variety, category distribution, and the overall balance of Artist Alley.
Meeting the application requirements does not guarantee acceptance.
Similarly, selecting a particular product category does not guarantee placement in that category. MomoCon may assign an application to the product category that best fits the submitted work and merchandise as part of the jury process.
Accepted means you have been selected to participate in Artist Alley for MomoCon 2027.
Accepted artists will receive additional information in stages, including their invoice, payment instructions, booth assignment, and pre-convention information.
An Accepted notification does not mean that all of this information will be provided immediately.

Waitlisted means you were not initially assigned a booth, but you remain eligible to be contacted if a booth becomes available.
As booths become available leading up to MomoCon, the Artist Alley department may contact artists from the waitlist to backfill available booths.
Being waitlisted does not guarantee that you will receive a booth or an invitation to participate.
Waitlisted artists should not make plans or incur expenses based on the expectation that they will be offered a booth.
If a booth becomes available and your application is selected from the waitlist, we will contact you directly with the opportunity to participate and provide instructions for the next steps.
Rejected means your application was not selected for Artist Alley this year.
We will not be able to offer you an Artist Alley booth or invitation for MomoCon 2027 through this application process.
We know there are many talented artists who apply for Artist Alley, and we have significantly more applications than available space.
A rejection does not necessarily mean there is a problem with your work or that you should not apply again in the future.
Each year, the jury reviews the applications submitted for that year’s Artist Alley and makes selections based on the available space and the overall mix of applications.
If you receive a Rejected status, you should not expect a later booth offer for MomoCon 2027.
If you receive a Waitlisted status instead, we may contact you if a booth becomes available before the convention.
The Three Outcomes You Will Receive back from MomoCon’s Artist Alley Team
- Accepted: You have been selected to participate in Artist Alley.
- Waitlisted: You were not initially selected, but we may contact you if we need to backfill a booth before the convention.
- Rejected: Your application was not selected this year, and you will not receive an Artist Alley invitation for MomoCon 2027 through this application process.

No. Artist Alley uses a juried application process.
No. Applications are reviewed and booths are limited.
No. Returning artists must submit the required application information and are considered as part of the current year’s applicant pool.
There is no minimum age for Artist Alley participants.
However, someone 18 or older must e-sign all Artist Alley contracts. For artists under 18, this may be a parent, guardian, table partner, or other appropriate legal party.
The legal party should provide their contact information when completing the application and identify the artist in the appropriate text field.
Fanart is allowed unless we receive notification from copyright-holding parties to limit its presence.
Fanart is defined as merchandise and prints that include the likeness of a character, symbol, or other copyrighted property, not official goods.
Any goods traditionally qualified as “bootleg” — including unofficial manufactured goods intended to appear official or defraud — will not be allowed.
MomoCon will comply with requests from U.S. license holders regarding copyright violations.
Artists are only allowed to purchase a single booth or table.
Artists may share their table with other artists who have been accepted to Artist Alley, provided both artists have been accepted into the Alley.
If the other artist was independently accepted but you plan on sharing a table, please let the Artist Alley department know via email.
Only one artist will be the primary contact for the table and accept legal responsibility for the space.
Artists may not share table space with artists who were rejected or waitlisted.
Sharing a booth with a rejected or waitlisted artist cannot be used to avoid or circumvent the jury process.
If you would like to add another artist’s work to your submission during the jury period, contact the Artist Alley team.

Booth assignments may not be exchanged, sold, transferred, or swapped without prior written approval from the MomoCon Artist Alley department.
Artists who apply and are accepted into MomoCon Artist Alley are expected to be present at the convention while tabling.
Sending a proxy to sell or manage your table while you attend other events will result in removal from Artist Alley.
If an artist is unable to attend due to extenuating circumstances and is part of a joint partnership or studio, they may request to have another representative from that studio or partnership operate the booth.
These situations are handled by the MomoCon Artist Alley team and approved on a case-by-case basis.
Failure to notify the Artist Alley team before sending someone to attend the convention in the artist’s stead is considered unapproved and may result in table cancellation and removal from Artist Alley.
Contact the Artist Alley department as soon as possible.
Do not give your booth to another artist or arrange an unofficial replacement.
