More arcades are to be announced!

In addition to Arcades, our friends at Otaku Oasis will be bringing a little taste of Japan with a UFO catcher to try you luck at the latest Japanese plushes, and a Purikura photo booth, full with all the international features, overlays, stickers and more!

Ufo Catcher vs. US Claw arcade game

Most people are familiar with the “claw” game in the US, Japanese UFO catchers are a little different.  Instead of varying degrees of tension on the claw, UFO catchers operate on a more gravity based method: use the claw to push or shift the toy or plush to fall down and be caught.  It’s a real test of skill!

Otaku Oasis will be on hand with both the UFO catcher and Purikura in the MomoCon 2019 Dealers Room during the entire convention!

Purikura, short for Purinto Kurabu (Print Club), are Japanese photo booths that let you take digital pictures with your friends and then decorate and edit them using a touch screen and stylus. After you finish decorating, your pictures are then printed on multiple copies of sticker paper so you can cut them and distribute them among your friends. You can also have them sent to your cell phone or e-mail address.

The booths feature icons, stickers, borders, image editing, smoothing features, and basic image alterations for the look (or pose) you want in your sticker photos!
