MomoCon Rave
The MomoRave welcomes all glow-sticked revelers on Friday night for music and a bit of mayhem! We’re working on confirming some great DJs for the 2013 event!
Karaoke
Everyone is a star at MomoCon! Show off your talents at MomoCon Karaoke, featuring a great sound system and stage for our singers! Karaoke runs most convention hours, but the slots fill up fast!
Disney Karaoke Contest - Break out your best princess voice for our Disney karaoke contest!
All singers will be performing Disney songs of all variety, competing in front of the audience and judges for fabulous prizes, including the Grand Prize: A ticket to Walt Disney World!
Song Selection
Qualified song selections will be from features and direct-to-video releases from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, or Lucasfilms (just for funzies). This includes everything from Toy Story to Cinderella 3, and includes variants in any different languages. This does not include Disney channel features, live action productions (such as Touchstone, special exception for Enchanted), non-Disney animated features (Bluth productions, Dreamworks), or other related properties.
Song Preparation
Karaoke will be outfitted with internet capabilities, but it is advisable to bring two different media of the song you wish to perform (there is no guarantee we can find it quickly). CDs, iPods, etc. Rules for the karaoke room still apply (if you damage the tech, we will hold you accountable).
Limits to entrants
We can only accommodate up to 12 entrants in the contest. The contest is currently full with a large waiting list.
We will be accepting applicants until the spots are filled; afterwards we will maintain a wait list. Applicants who are not on-site at 7pm sharp at the Karaoke room will be disqualified (applicants not present when called to sing will also be DQed), and wait-listed applicants may be called.
Judging
Judging is based 90% on vocals and 10% on presentation/stage presence/etc.
Prizes
First place will receive a one-day park ticket to Walk Disney World (no hopper option). This ticket can be used at any of the four major parks on the Disney property in Orlando (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios) and is valid for one year. Second place will receive prizes from MomoCon (manga, DVDs, etc.)
