As 2009 approaches, we here at MomoCon are getting a jump on the new convention! In the coming weeks, look for many changes to the website, updated guest listings for 2009 and new event annoucements.
For the latest announcements, be sure to sign up for our mailing list!
Interested in helping put on MomoCon? Come by a staff meeting! The first meeting is on October 5th at 3pm in room 343 of the Student Center (where Artists Alley was located in 2008). All staff meeting dates are listed on the website, and you do not have to be present at all of them.
The MomoCon crew had a great time at Dragon*Con and Anime Weekend Atlanta in September. Look for our crew at local Atlanta Comic Convention events and Atlanta SuperCon in November! We'll be fundraising for MomoCon 2009 with limited-edition "convention tour" T-shirts.

SteamPunk Photoshoot
Friday, 25 April 2008
MomoCon & Peach State Cosplay are proud to present their first themed photoshoot!
Polish up the brass goggles, holster your raygun, chain up that pocket watch and come Kick-off the summer in Steam Punk style. Shooting locales will focus on Georgia Tech’s Victorian past: industrial brick buidings, a faux gas lamp lined street, and even a proper garden for the noblest of gentry. Other campus locations will be visited time permitting.
Non-SteamPunk costumes are welcome. A splinter group will be assembled to explore the modern and futuristic parts of campus if interest is high enough.
Cost: FREE When: 2pm start, Sat May 24th Meet-up location: Georgia Tech Kessler Campanile (a.k.a ‘The Shaft, right outside the Student Center 1st Floor Entrance).
This event is open to outside photographers. Take a look at some pictures of the locations here, or share your thoughts in the Forum.
MomoCon Website Returns!
Friday, 11 April 2008
When a vulnerability in the software used to present the MomoCon website was used to send thousands of SPAM e-mails out, our hosting company froze us until we did something about it. We have cleaned up our act and the website is back.
You may notice the "Contacts" section (the part of the site used to send e-mails) is missing, but do not be alarmed. We are still reachable via the normal methods of telepathy, smoke signals, and morse encoded rain drops on a spring morning.
